OneSmile - Wetherill Media Proposal

Hey Matt and Josh,

Thanks again for the great chat last week — I’ve put together a brief on video content options, based on what we discussed, along with a best-estimate breakdown of pricing and timelines.

As with anything in video, the more we push the visuals, the more time we’ll need for planning, filming, and editing. That said, there are always clever ways to maximise impact without overcomplicating the process — and I’ll be sure to flag any smart shortcuts that don’t affect the viewer experience.

When it comes to filming, I imagine I’d be co-producing with Josh or another OneSmile team member, helping coordinate locations, timing, talent, and ensuring we’re clear on what needs to be captured on the day. I can support the scripting process, but I do not write scripts from scratch.
Most of my clients find that this hybrid workflow works well:

  1. Use ChatGPT to generate ideas and a first draft

  2. Clean it up for accuracy and tone

  3. Return to ChatGPT to refine the hook, intro, or pacing

  4. Apply final polish, ready for the teleprompter

(This scripting support isn’t costed in — if needed, a copywriter could also take this on and bring even more finesse.)

On the editing side, I’ll be leading production, supported by my post team. We’ll work off a clear edit brief — whether we’re cutting everything in shoot order or priority content first — and you’ll receive videos for feedback.
The first few videos always take a little longer, as we’re establishing the style and rhythm that works best for your brand. Once that’s locked in, future videos become faster and more seamless to produce.

The examples I have included are from the same client where possible. My current best pricing is also being put forward.

Scripted Reels

These are polished, 1-minute-long videos built through a mix of ChatGPT scripting and human refinement, allowing for strong messaging with scroll-stopping intros and a well-structured flow. This format requires a bit more pre-production upfront, but the payoff is consistent, high-quality content.

With OneSmile, we anticipate capturing 8–12 scripted videos over a 6–8 hour filming session. If we bring in a professional presenter with teleprompter experience, it’s likely we could increase that output even further — ideal if the goal is volume at scale.

Post-filming, the editing process is streamlined. We handle everything: cutting, b-roll/cover footage, music, logos, subtitles, and overall polish. Depending on the complexity and visual enhancements involved, editing time typically ranges from 4–5 hours for simple pieces, up to 8–10 hours for more detailed edits, with any revisions on top.
For example. If we filmed 10 a day for 5 days, equaling 50 videos, I’d probably get two of my editors working on that content, to try and get turnaround for everything at 2-3 weeks, with videos being sent through as they are ready for review (not being delivered in bulk. That’s how mistakes are multiplied!)

General Pricing (excl. GST):

  • Filming Day (up to 8 hours) – $1,250
(Can extend to 12 hours; excludes travel if required)
On a full day, you can expect 8–10 completed videos, or 4–5 with a half-day shoot.

  • Per Video Edit – $300
(Includes 1 round of changes — though we're flexible during the early stages as we build the style.)

  • Minor Reworking – $50–85
(Covers things like adjusting logos, fonts, colours etc. for different brand branches — actual cost depends on scope and time required.)

Podcast Recordings and Reels

I won’t include full-length (30-minute) podcast examples here — let’s be honest, once you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all! The real value lies in the conversation itself. Visually, podcast setups don’t demand a lot of space, but having more room definitely helps streamline the filming process.

Pre-production is pretty straightforward. Aside from a quick bullet-point run sheet and ensuring our guest is well prepped to speak in-depth on their topic, the setup is minimal and efficient.

The goal: high-quality, watchable 1-minute reels.
In our existing workflow with Black & White Finance, they select compelling segments from the full episode — moments that resonate with a broader audience and encourage people to watch the full podcast.

Here’s how it typically runs:

  • We edit the full-length episode first

  • The client reviews for factual accuracy and flags key moments for reels

  • Those moments then go through a similar editing and review process as scripted reels, optimised for social media.

Hopefully can denote that it’s post-production that is longer with podcasts, vs pre-production with the scripted reels. More changes can mean more cost from us, so you may find it’s cheaper to make the scripted reels if you can control the costs on scripting.

General costing (ex. GST):

  • Filming: $1,250 for an 8-hour day (max 12 hours if needed; travel not included). We can typically record up to 8 podcasts in a day, factoring in time for reviewing talking points and resetting between shoots.

  • Editing: $300 per video (includes 1 round of changes — though we’re flexible during the early phase as we fine-tune style).

  • Minor reworks: Light changes like branding tweaks, font swaps, or logo updates are usually $50–$85.

A variety of advertising content for consideration.

Variety of advertising focused content. All of these can vary in there price based apon the amount of filming time, editing required and more.
$1500 average full day filming rate
Editing per 1 minute can vary between $500 - $1000. Editing can range from 1 day to multiple days.

A short 30-second to 1-minute video with a piece to camera just hard sells the key reasons, with cover shots from Dental practices doing installs, the ai scans at home, before and afters etc, these will all go far to quickly sell to a fresh face what Onesmile can do.

Wrap-Up & Next Steps

Thanks again for the opportunity to explore how my team and I can support OneSmile’s content strategy.

I know that getting the first few videos right is key, not just for style and messaging, but for building a smooth, repeatable workflow going forward. Once we’re aligned creatively and logistically, the rest should be a streamlined and scalable process.

Next steps from here could include:

  • Confirming which content types you'd like to move forward with first (e.g. podcast filming, reels, brand videos, etc.)

  • Locking in a shoot date (or dates)

  • Outlining any key topics or messages you'd like the first few videos to cover

  • Deciding who from the OneSmile team will be co-producing or point of contact (I’m assuming this will still be Josh)

Happy to jump on a call to workshop anything further or refine the plan based on your preferences.

Looking forward to bringing this to life with you!
